Overview

Moonstone has an optical effect unlike any other gem. Light doesn't reflect off the surface it seems to come from within, a soft floating glow that shifts as the ring moves. Gemologists call it adularescence. Most people just say it looks like the moon.

This solitaire lets it breathe. No accent stones, no competition just a 1.20 CT oval white semi precious moonstone, 8.10×6.05 MM, set on a clean 1.80 MM band. The oval shape works with the stone's natural glow, giving the adularescence room to move across the length of the gem rather than being confined to a tight round. At 8.10 MM wide, it has real presence on the finger without being heavy.
